**Event postponed**

Camelot and the BFI have taken the decision to postpone National Lottery Cinema Weekend from the originally planned dates of 27 and 28 March. In turn, the drop-in session scheduled for 19 January has also been postponed.
It is hoped that the event can run in 2021, with the end of May as a potential new slot, although this is still to be confirmed. We'll share more information when we have it.
Exhibitors can still register their interest to take part in National Lottery Cinema Weekend, and can direct any questions about the event to: cinemaweekend@independentcinemaoffice.org.uk.

National Lottery Cinema Day returns - in a new, expanded format as National Lottery Cinema Weekend - from 27 - 28 March 2021. To introduce exhibitors to the new edition and highlight some changes following 2019’s successful event, the National Lottery Cinema Weekend working group are hosting an informal drop-in session on Tuesday, 19 January from 10:30 - 11:30am.
The session will start with a brief overview of the event, followed by an open forum for exhibitor questions. Any exhibitor can attend - whether you’ve already signed up to take part, are considering doing so, or are just curious.

About National Lottery Cinema Weekend

National Lottery Cinema Weekend is an annual event celebrating the National Lottery’s support for UK film. During the event, Lotto players can claim free cinema tickets at participating sites, with the costs to exhibitors subsidised by Camelot.
In 2019, almost 60,000 free tickets were claimed across 250 cinemas. Now, after a challenging year for the industry, the event takes on a new significance in 2021 by supporting exhibitors to re-engage audiences with a compelling offer and a high-profile marketing campaign.
Exhibitors in the North can register their interest to take part in the 2021 edition now.
