Our Online Filmmaker Roundtables are back, giving local writers, directors and producers another chance to connect with our Talent Development Team remotely. Our next sessions take place on Wednesday, 17 June - the first runs from 11:00 - 12:00 and the second from 14:00 - 15:00.
Each Roundtable is hosted by one of the Hub's BFI NETWORK Talent Executives and will involve up to 10 local filmmakers. The sessions are informal, introductory events primarily for creatives who have not yet had a 1-2-1 meeting with our Talent Development Team. They're a chance to introduce yourself to our team and find out about the film funding and training opportunities available through BFI NETWORK, and they'll also bring together the region's filmmakers - providing a space for them to discuss their work and ongoing projects, and meet future collaborators.

Roundtables are free to attend. All that's required is a reliable internet connection and access to a device that supports video conferencing. Please apply for a spot by 5:00pm Monday, 15 June.
To apply for a place at an upcoming roundtable, please send us the following information:
  • Your name
  • Your postcode
  • Your primary role (writer, director, producer etc.)
  • Which time you would like to attend (we cannot guarantee specific time slots)
  • What you would like support with eg. finding collaborators, developing a script, information signposting
  • Biography (max 150 words)

If your place is confirmed, our team will send you the relevant video conference log in details. We'll be running more Online Roundtables in the future, so keep an eye on our filmmaker events calendar if we aren't able to offer you a space this time.
