Join the Film Hub North team for a free workshop unpacking the BFI Diversity Standards: the best practice benchmarks that the BFI and the Film Audience Network subscribe to in order to encourage equality of opportunity within the film industry. We'll be welcoming a range of exhibitors and industry speakers to HOME on Tuesday, 5 February.
The session will delve into the details of what the Standards are, how they were developed and why they’re important. Policymakers and funders will be there to discuss the genesis of the Standards and how they should be integrated into funding applications, while exhibitors and programmers will be on-hand to talk about how inclusion can form an important part of your audience development strategy and how the Standards can promote a more rigorous programming process.
In addition to practical and policy advice from industry speakers, there’ll be the chance to chat with exhibitors from across the Film Audience Network, swapping ideas, sharing best practice and developing projects for funding applications.
