Get involved with Into Film's season of LGBTQ+ educational screenings, reflecting on 50 years since the Stonewall riots.

Our colleagues at Into Film are looking to partner with Film Hub North Members in order to deliver free school screenings as part of LGBTQ+ History Month in February 2019. These events will reflect on the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots - an incident that helped give rise to modern gay rights movements - while also recognising the rapidly changing attitudes of young people around aspects of sexuality and gender identity.
This season of screenings is an opportunity to engage young audiences and schools in your area with a range of exciting film programming and an important cultural moment. Younger audiences will have the chance to explore accessible stories of identity, inclusion and equality, while older pupils can experience diverse representations of the LGBTQ+ experience in Britain and around the world, both in the past and the here and now.

Take part

If you're interested in taking part in the season, you'll need to be able to provide a 2-3 hour screening slot free of charge with at least one member of staff to cover the event. Into Film will cover licensing costs, coordinate communication with distributors and manage RSVPs from schools and home educators.
The deadline to register your interest is 30 October.
