Visit Glasgow Film Festival for film previews, a growing industry strand and a day of events for exhibitors.
Glasgow Film Festival continues to go from strength to strength, reinforcing its claim as one of the UK's most exciting, ambitious film festivals. The 2019 edition takes place from 20 February - 3 March and offers up the festival's usual winning formula of early looks at exciting upcoming releases - this year's line-up includes Dirty God, fresh from IFFR, and Mid90s which features in Berlinale's Panorama - alongside a growing industry strand and a day for exhibitors delivered by our colleagues at Film Hub Scotland.
Taking place at the festival's Industry Hub in 29 Glasgow on Wednesday, 27 February, the Exhibitors Day is free for Hub Members and features sessions, workshops and presentations that will inspire conversation, questions and programmes for the year ahead. We caught up with the Film Hub Scotland team to get their top reasons to attend:
Build a bid: Couldn't make it to our recent Introduction to Fundraising workshop? Catch-up on what you missed with a session on fundraising and bid-writing, covering where to look for funding and how to tap into income streams.
Go green: Revisiting one of the most popular discussions from This Way Up 2018, a session on eco-friendly practice and sustainability will look at how we can ensure our organisations are future-proof in a fast-changing world.
Plan your programme: Get a head start on your next programme with a slate presentation from Paul Gallagher, Programme Manager at Glasgow Film Theatre, featuring trailers and programme notes for upcoming releases and booking opportunities.
Meet the family: There'll be the chance to meet and network with exhibitors from across the Film Audience Network throughout the day. An informal sharing session will also give attendees the opportunity to present their own work to the group and hear new ideas from other exhibitors.
Tickets for the Exhibitors Day are free and can be booked via Eventbrite. If you need support to attend the Glasgow Film Festival, you can apply to our Bursary Awards and receive up to £500 for travel and ticket subsidies to get you where you need to be.
