Submit your work to Northern Exposure - our short film night showcasing local filmmaking talent.
Since 2018, we’ve showcased the most exciting filmmaking talent from the North of England at venues and festivals across the region. Curated by a group of
young, emerging film curators, our
last screening series toured to The Dukes in Lancaster, Showroom in Sheffield and National Science Media Museum in Bradford.
Filmmakers based in the North of England can submit their shorts for consideration now.
Selected filmmakers will have their work showcased at venues across the region, and will be invited to take part in post-screening Q&As where possible.
Films can take any form, genre or narrative approach. There’s only a few practical rules to be aware of - these can all be found on our FilmFreeway page, which is linked below.
Submissions for this round of screenings
close Wednesday 24 September at 18:00.
Northern Exposure is delivered by Film Hub North as part of BFI Film Academy.
BFI Film Academy offers opportunities for ambitious 16-25 year olds, anywhere in the UK, to get to know more about film and how to forge a career in the screen industries.
