Sweet MotherA British-Nigerian man risks losing his family - or his sense of self
Efosa lives a seemingly happy life in Sheffield; he's a successful graphic designer, the eldest son of close-knit British-Nigerian family and a favourite of his warm-hearted mother.
Everything changes when Efosa's mum makes an unannounced trip to the office and sees him kissing a male colleague. Efosa is faced with cultural rejection and familial separation when it becomes clear that his parents see his sexuality as an abomination.
Festival selections include: BFI Flare, Scottish Queer International Film Festival and Florence Queer Film Festival.
