Northern Exposure, our short film night showcasing the most exciting filmmaking talent from the North of England, is going on tour.
Throughout Autumn 2023, we’re taking Northern Exposure to Storyhouse (Wed 11 Oct), Sunderland Shorts Film Festival (Fri 20 Oct) and Hyde Park Picture House (Thu 26 Oct).
This series of screenings has been curated by our Young Film Programmers - a group of emerging film programmers who have taken over Northern Exposure in 2023 & 2024.
Over the past few months, the programming team have reviewed hundreds of submissions to discover exceptional storytellers whose voices often go unheard in mainstream cinema. Our film line-up spans documentary, live action and animation - and tackles subjects from the intensely political to the deeply personal. You can find out more about the line-up
