Join our BFI NETWORK team and filmmakers from across the North for Writing a One Page Pitch – a session demystifying the art of written pitching and the all important “one pager.”
Writing a One Page Pitch takes place from 6-7:30pm on Thursday, 25 March. This session is suitable for Writers, Directors and Producers working in short film; it's free to attend and will be held on Zoom.
During the session, Script Editor Philip Shelley will take filmmakers through how to translate a compelling idea for a short into a written document that captures key story beats, crucial information and the reader’s attention in a single page.
Philip will cover topics such as: how to define your premise; writing a logline; structuring a synopsis; and how to explore tone and themes in a one pager.
By the end of the session, you’ll have improved your written pitching skills and will have a flexible structure in place to help you create one pagers for Producers, funders and script competitions.
This event will take place via Zoom. All you need to take part is a reliable internet connection. Automatic captions and BSL will be provided.
