Scratch Me presents: Developing Character Behind the Scenes; an online in conversation event with the production team behind Michaela Coel's fearless 2020 BBC series, I May Destroy You. Join us from 6pm on Wednesday, 14 October for the third event in a series all about character development.
We'll hear Paul Cross (Production Designer), Adam Makin (Art Director), Kaush Bharti (Art Director) and Lynsey Moore (Costume Designer) discussing the role that behind the scenes craft plays in character development and creating a compelling world for protagonists to inhabit. As a case in point, they'll discuss their collective work on the vibrant, emotionally vertiginous universe of I May Destroy You.
Our host for the evening is Liverpool-based film producer Barrington Paul Robinson.
Every event in our Scratch Me programme is free to attend. Sessions are held via Zoom webinar - you don't need a live webcam or microphone to participate, just a reliable internet connection.
There will be the opportunity to ask Paul, Adam, Kaush and Lynsey questions during the session. You can use Zoom's Q&A feature to ask a question on the day or submit them in advance to: bfinetwork@filmhubnorth.org.uk.
This event will feature a BSL interpreter.
Scratch Me is a Film Hub North and BFI NETWORK project delivered in partnership with Screen Yorkshire and SIGN (Screen Industries Growth Network).
