Film Hub North is offering 10 free tickets for a screening of Nezouh + filmmaker Q&A with Reclaim the Frame.
Soudade Kaadan’s Venice Film Festival award-winner Nezouh offers a powerful and moving perspective on the Syrian conflict by delicately weaving lightness and magical realism among heartbreaking desolation. The film is a distinctive feature from an exciting new voice in world cinema and a must-see for emerging filmmakers.
To support the release, Film Hub North is offering 10 filmmakers the chance to claim a free ticket for a special screening of the film taking place at Showroom Cinema, Sheffield on Sunday 23 June. This screening will be followed by a Q&A with director Soudade Kaadan, hosted by Reclaim The Frame. The screening will feature descriptive subtitles.
Nezouh follows 14-year-old Zeina and her family as they face an impossible choice after a missile shatters their apartment, leaving them among the last remaining residents in the city. Everything changes when a rope is mysteriously lowered through the hole in the roof and Zeina gets her first taste of freedom.
