Funding support event for filmmakers in the North, as part of HOME's PUSH Festival.

The BFI NETWORK Short Film Fund is BFI’s major fund for short film production in England and is set to reopen for applications in Spring 2025.

If you’re wondering whether the fund is suitable for you or your film or if you’re unsure as to how to put in a good application, this is the talk for you.

Our Talent Executive Benjamin Taylor will explain what the fund is, how it works and give a peek behind the curtain on how decisions are made, what we look for in projects and how you can stand out from other applications.

This event is suitable for writers, directors and producers interested in funding for short film production or just wanting to know more about BFI and its opportunities.

PUSH Festival is HOME's biennial celebration of North West creative talent. Over two weeks their stages, screens and spaces will be dedicated to showcasing fantastic works from around the region, as well as offering opportunities for creatives to meet industry professionals, share ideas and inspiration and develop their skills.

As part of the festival we’re also hosting a special instalment of our filmmaker mixer in partnership with Fuse, a Manchester-based filmmaking collective uplifting underrepresented creatives, for an evening of mixing and meeting. Free entry but registration is required.
