New Black Voices: Filmmaker Roundtable

Join a discussion with director Cornelius Walker

Starts at 02 Nov 2019 14:00

Location Showroom Cinema

New Black Voices is a showcase of the ones to watch in Black British film right now. We're excited to present this screening at Showroom Cinema in partnership with the venue and filmmaker Abena Taylor-Smith on Saturday, 2 November.
Ahead of the screening, we'll also be hosting a roundtable discussion with Cornelius Walker from the short documentary Black Sheep, an Oscar-nominated adaptation of Walker’s experiences as a child. Local creatives are invited to join us to discuss Cornelius' work, his approach to building a lasting career in film and how he came to collaborate with The Guardian on his life-changing project.
