We're hosting an in-person roundtable at Manchester Film Festival on Thursday 26 March with the creative duo behind Misper.
Our roundtables are an open, welcoming space to put your questions directly to our team and industry experts, and offer an opportunity to meet other filmmakers from the region. Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so please only sign up if you’re able to attend.
Misper premiered in 2025 at Edinburgh Film Festival and now comes to Manchester with a bold, unconventional take on the missing persons genre - focusing not on police or family, but on those on the periphery: co-workers whose emotional responses reveal something far deeper about alienation, uncertainty and denial.
Harry Sherriff and Laurence Tratalos met during lockdown in Manchester. Harry shadow directed on Bank of Dave and GIANT following his time at the NFTS and in 2016 directed 12 shorts in 12 months. Laurence has been a part of BBC Writersroom, The Series Mania Writers Campus, and a mentorship from Jon Petrie through the Channel 4 Screenwriting Course.

The roundtable will be preceded by Manchester Film Festival networking, and BFI NETWORK Talent Executive Benjamin Taylor will also speak on the Beyond London - Building a Sustainable Career in the North panel afterwards.
