Maddy Powell was Rabia's favourite teacher. Smart, engaging and inspiring, she made history come alive for her Year 8 class.

But when a freak accident turns Maddy's life upside down, she leaves school and retreats to her cottage on the fringes of Saddleworth Moor. Rabia tries to reconnect with her former teacher and bring the old Maddy back out of hiding. As the anniversary of the accident comes around, both Maddy and Rabia are poised to take decisive action.
