We’re teaming up with BBC Writersroom to present Finding an Agent: an online panel session for Writers, Directors and Producers who are seeking representation. Join us from 6-7pm on Tuesday, 22 June.
Our host for the evening is Emma Green, who will be in conversation with talent agents Natasha Salter (Salt Partnership) and Cynthia Okoye (Curtis Brown), and Actor-Writer and BBC Writersroom Northern Voices alumni Kat Rose-Martin.
The panel will discuss how the industry works and an agent’s role, as well as digging into what agents are looking for from new talent and how Writers and Directors can best showcase themselves and their work.

Emma Green


Emma is a freelance script and book reader, and has worked in a variety of development and production roles both in-house and on set for companies such as: Number 9 Films, Blueprint Pictures and OpenPalm. She has worked extensively across theatre and at different agencies, including for Lily Williams at Curtis Brown with her fab list of writers. 

Cynthia Okoye


Cynthia joined Curtis Brown in 2008 having freshly graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in Law (LLB). She initially worked with agent Amanda Davis across her brilliant list of writers and directors in the theatre, film and television department. In 2013, Cynthia began to build her own list of writers, directors and filmmakers from the ground up. Her mission was, and still is, to find and represent unique filmmaking talent and enable them to build careers in the UK film and television industry, and beyond.

Natasha Salter


Natasha Salter is the co-founder of Salt Partnership, an innovative agency dedicated to evolving original and unique talent, representing screenwriters, directors and journalists across the UK and US. Her clients are presently working with domestic British platforms as well as NBCU, Viacom CBS, Netflix and Sky. Natasha is passionate about developing and supporting regional voices.

Kat Rose-Martin


Bradford born and based, Kat started as an actor working for Northern Broadsides and Shakespeare’s Globe. She made it to the final 4% of BBC Drama Room and final 13% for the BBC Comedy Room. Her TV Drama The Crossleys made the BAFTA Rocliffe TV Drama Top 10. In 2020, Kat won the Kay Mellor Fellowship, developing a play at Leeds Playhouse and a TV show at Rollem Productions. Kat has various TV projects in development, was part of BBC Writersroom Northern Voices and is now writing for Holby City.
