Come join us for two very special Filmmaker Roundtables with Hoard director Luna Carmoon.
Luna Carmoon is the first writer director supported by Film Hub North to make the leap to features with her BFI funded feature Hoard. Ahead of the films release, we’re hosting two Filmmaker Roundtables with Luna, giving up to 30 filmmakers based in the North the chance to sit down to discuss filmmaking and the process of progressing from shorts to first feature.
Hoard premiered at the 2023 BFI London Film Festival and follows 7-year-old Maria and her mother, living in their own loving world built on sorting through bins and collecting shiny rubbish. One night, their world falls apart, and we join Maria a decade later, living with her foster mother. The film is set for theatrical release on 17 May.
Luna’s short film
Shagbands was funded by Film Hub North through the BFI Short Film Fund in 2018. Co-funded by Film4, you can watch
Shagbands here.
