BFI NETWORK Filmmaker Mixers are informal meet-ups for filmmakers based in the North of England.
They take place each month and tour to different venues across the region. Mixers are free to attend. Just sign up and show up!
Our upcoming Mixers are:
Liverpool: 17 September, 18:30 - late, FACT with Lets Make Films
York: 30 September, 20:00 - 21:00, City Screen with York Filmmakers
Newcastle: 6 October, 17:00 - 18:15, Tyneside Cinema
We're hosting two mixers to mark special Q&A screenings of The Severed Sun. Come meet the filmmaking team and learn more about this British folk horror film. You’re welcome to attend our mixers even if you don’t go to the screenings.
A haunting tale of faith, fear, and folklore, The Severed Sun marks the feature debut of director Dean Puckett. Produced by Grasp the Nettle and Lunar Lander Films, it premiered at Fantastic Fest 2024.
Catch a screening and meet members of the filmmaking team to hear how the project was developed through the prestigious iFeatures program with BBC Films, Creative England, and the BFI. Tickets for the screenings must be booked separately.
