Leeds Queer Film Festival are incorporating Our North into their Alternative Pride Leeds programme with a full evening of LGBTQ+ films - including features, documentaries and shorts - connected to the season's focus on regional filmmaking.
Opening the Queer Film Night is a diverse set of short films showing the breadth of LGBTQ+ filmmaking talent in the North. Sandi Hughes will then present and discuss <Rewind Fast Forward>>, a unique archive of Liverpool's music, club and fashion sub-cultures and their intersections with local LGBT and BAME history. The programme closes with a screening of My Summer of Love - Pawel Pawlikowski's Yorkshire-set film about two young women drawn to each other as a means of escaping their dysfunctional family lives.
