Northern Exposure at Sunderland Shorts Film Festival
A collection of shorts curated by our BFI NETWORK team
Starts at
10 May 2019 17:00
Location
Empire Cinemas
We're brining a special edition of our regular short film night to Sunderland Shorts Film Festival 2019 as our BFI NETWORK select some of our their favourite recent shorts to showcase at Empire Cinemas on Friday, 10 May.
Curation duties are being taken care of by our BFI NETWORK Talent Executive Amy O'Hara, who has picked an array of shorts from filmmakers in the North that spans animation, documentary and live action. Selections include Lesley-Anne Rose's grotesque stop-motion work, The Misfortunes of Spatula Head and Charlene Jones' deeply personal family documentary, Henceforth.
In addition to catching our highlight titles, local filmmakers will have the chance to meet our BFI NETWORK team and chat about the support available through our talent development schemes. And the festival has runs for another 3 days packed full of great shorts and opportunities to connect with fellow filmmakers within the region's thriving production scene.
Tickets for one off events are only a few pounds and there's the option to by a day or whole festival pass. More information on ticketing and the festival programme is available on the festival website.
