The Dukes have responded to Our North's celebration of Northern Cinema with a season of their own, Filmed in Lancashire: a series of cinematic postcards showcasing their local region through the productions made there.
From 18 August - 8 September, Filmed in Lancashire explores the county, the variety of its landscapes and the lives of its inhabitants. The season includes social realist slices of life set in the music halls of Morcambe, doomed romantic trysts held in rural train stations and culture-clash comedies played out on the beaches on Blackpool.
