New audience development funding launched

Three schemes to help restart the exhibition sector

Published: 10 May 2021

New support for archive film, long-term organisational growth and film programmes to inspire hope.

We’re excited to share news of three new funding schemes that will support a range of exhibition activity, both in the North and across the UK, at a crucial time for the sector.
This trio of opportunities – New Directions, the Engine Fund and Film Feels Hopeful – will help exhibitors celebrate the past, present and future of independent filmmaking. Funding is available to support archive film events, the long-term recovery of established film organisations in the North, and an upcoming nationwide season spotlighting hopeful narratives and new cinematic voices.
You can read more about the recently launched funds and how to get involved below. If you’d like to discuss these opportunities, or any of the other audience development funds available through Film Hub North, you can book a 1-2-1 Hub Surgery now.
