Cinema Rediscovered, the UK festival dedicated to film restorations and repertory programming, returns from 28 July - 1 August, and we're taking part!
We're excited to be presenting and discussing our new archive film commission, Lost Connections as part of the festival's Reframing Film discussion strand - running online from 29-30 July.
The Reframing Film line-up features some of the most distinctive voices in film curation and archiving, who will be presenting their work in sessions covering repertory programming (including the team behind HOME’s Women in Global Cinema initiative), upcoming restorations and new approaches to classic films.
For our part, we’ll be screening Lost Connections – a new, archive-based short film exploring our extraordinary collective experience since March 2020. Andy Robson, Film Hub North’s Screen Heritage Producer, will be in conversation with the archivists, artists and filmmakers behind the film. Join us from 11am – 12pm on Friday, 30 July.
All events in the Reframing Film strand are free to attend and are held via Zoom webinar. For more information on the full line-up, visit our colleagues at
Film Hub South West.
Lost Connections has been commissioned as part of New Directions, our ongoing programme supporting archive film events that connect the past with the present. Funding of up to £15,000 is available – find out more on the
New Directions landing page.
