HOME have embraced the central theme of Our North's inaugural edition with a season of films celebrating great Northern writers. From 19-30 August, they're screening four selections from the Our North core programme - putting classic works from Andrea Dunbar, Shelagh Delaney and Barry Hines back on the big screen.
Established Northern voices rub shoulders with contemporary talent on 19 August when Adelle Stripe introduces Rita, Sue and Bob Too and discusses the influence Andrea Dunbar has had on her 2017 debut novel, Black Teeth and a Brilliant Smile. And, away from the written word, the season showcases the North's new moving image talent with a screening of City Not City - a documentary charting the changing face of modern Manchester from local filmmakers Catherine Chanoux and Andre Milewski.
