Bolton International Film Festival 2022

Catch Hub funded shorts & BFI NETWORK filmmaker events at this year's festival

Starts at 06 Oct 2022 15:00

Location Light Cinema Bolton

Film Hub North is back at Bolton Film Festival, with two free events in the festival’s industry programme. Filmmakers and festival-goers will have the chance to watch BFI NETWORK funded short films and catch our BFI NETWORK Talent Executive Ben Taylor and director Dan Thorburn (BFI NETWORK funded Salt Water Town) at our industry roundtable.

Shorts Showcase

Join us for a special screening of BFI NETWORK funded shorts Salt Water Town (Dir. Dan Thorburn), The Barber (Dir. Dhivya Kate Chetty), The Hermit (Dir. Andrew Coates) and A Snapshot (Dir. John Clark). The screening will take place in Screen 1 at The Light Cinema.
3:20-4:20pm on Thursday 6 October

Filmmaker Roundtable

Hosted by BFI NETWORK Talent Executive Ben Taylor, the roundtable will give up to 10 creatives the chance to meet fellow filmmakers, talk about short film funding in the region, plus hear about other opportunities available through Film Hub North and the wider BFI NETWORK.
We are excited that writer/director Dan Thorburn (who’s BFI Network funded short Salt Water Town premiered at Bolton in 2021) will also be at the roundtable.
Our roundtables are informal, conversational sessions primarily for creatives who have not yet had a meeting with our Talent Development Team, so you do not need to prepare anything before attending.
5-6pm on Thursday 6 October
