BFI FAN: Green Hour is a new series of events for UK film exhibitors focusing on environmental sustainability.
Join us from 14:00 - 15:00 on Wednesday 10 January for our second edition, where we’ll explore sustainable procurement and localised resilience.
In this session, we’ll discuss how to implement ethical, low-carbon procurement processes, and the organisational demands and benefits of responsible sourcing.
Our speakers for this webinar are Natasha Padbury (Office & Sustainability Manager, Depot Cinema) and Simon Curtis (Chair, Greater Manchester Arts Sustainability Team).
Natasha and Simon will share practical examples from their experiences of working with local suppliers, and provide inspiration on how to make place-based, climate-driven decisions that lead to meaningful change.
This is a nationwide event, open to all members of the BFI Film Audience Network’s regional and national Film Hubs.
This session will be particularly useful for film exhibition staff working in operational, office and marketing teams.
GMAST is an award-winning network of over 50 cultural organisations working together to tackle the climate crisis and reduce the environmental impact of the cultural and creative community in Greater Manchester.
Depot is an award-winning independent 3-screen cinema located in the centre of Lewes, East Sussex, within the South Downs National Park. The venue is a focal point for the community, conceived and operated along the principles of accessibility for all, environmental and social sustainability.
BFI FAN: Green Hour is delivered by Film Hub North on behalf of the BFI Film Audience Network.
