The Engine Fund provides exhibitors with long-term, strategic support to help rebuild and grow their audiences.

The Engine Fund aims to make a lasting difference to the North’s film culture by supporting exhibitors to connect with the breadth of their local communities, and increase their commitment to British, independent and international film.

Funding of up to £30,000 is available for activity taking place between June 2021 – March 2022. Engine Fund grants are bespoke: they respond to your audience development plans and the specific needs of your organisation and local communities.

The Engine Fund is for large-scale audience development projects that have the potential to reach significant audience numbers. Applicants should be established exhibitors who provide a regular, year-round cinema programme.

More details on the fund, its eligibility criteria and how to apply can be found in the funding guidelines.
