Early Development Funding is for writers with exciting ideas for a debut feature - particularly if you haven’t yet teamed up with a producer.

Funding grants will contribute towards the key early stages of feature development such as writing an initial treatment, researching ideas and creating related materials. In addition to financial support, filmmakers will benefit from the creative oversight of our Talent Executives.

After providing funding to kick-start your development process, we'll offer feedback on the work you produce, connect you with potential collaborators and help you consider how your ideas might connect with audiences.

Early Development Funding aims to propel your project towards its next stage of development. The fund is open to writers who have not yet had a feature script produced and distributed,  as well as producers and directors who are working with new writers.
