BIFA is back in the North. Our BFI NETWORK team are partnering with the British Independent Film Awards once again to showcase the best of British short filmmaking. We're bringing the 2019 Best British Short nominees to Leeds for a special screening at Hyde Park Picture House on Tuesday, 3 March.

The line-up features some of the most exciting short form work to come out of the UK in the last year. Selections include: Anna, Dekel Berenson's melancholic portrait of a middle aged woman living in war-torn Ukraine and desperate for a change; and Goldfish, Hector Dockrill's drama about an unlikely connection forged between two strangers against the backdrop of violence and loss in south London.

After the screening, we'll be hosting a drinks reception where you can meet representatives from BIFA and our BFI NETWORK team. If you're a filmmaker, you'll have the chance to chat about the funding and professional development opportunities available through BFI NETWORK - and, if you're a film fan, you can let us know what you thought of BIFA's best of British selections.

Tickets are free and available to book via the Eventbrite link below.
