What we do

We're Film Hub North.

We support film culture in the North of England through funding schemes, training programmes and by building a vibrant local film community.

We work with film exhibition organisations, filmmakers and young people, helping to get great films made, screened and seen in the region.

Film Hub North is supported by National Lottery funding.

We're proud to contribute to the British Film Institute's strategy for regional film culture. We deliver projects as part of the BFl Film Audience Network, BFI NETWORK and BFI Film Academy.

Where we work

The Hub is led in partnership by the North's two leading independent cinemas: HOME, Manchester, and Showroom Cinema, Sheffield.

We have offices in Manchester, Sheffield and Newcastle. And you can often find us on the road visiting cinemas, hosting events and attending festivals.

From our three office bases, we support film culture right across the North of England - from Chester to Carlisle, and from Berwick to Grimsby.
