The Last Tree is the new BFI-supported feature from writer/director Shola Amoo: a deeply honest exploration of masculinity, identity and Britishness that follows a young man as he is uprooted from a loving foster home in rural Lincolnshire and transplanted to a new, unfamiliar life with his birth mother in inner-city London. Ahead of its general release on 27 September, the film is going on tour, bringing special director Q&A events to cinemas across the country including HOME (5 Sept), Tyneside Cinema (9 Sept) and Showroom Cinema (18 Sept).

We're excited to be hosting a Filmmaker Roundtable ahead of The Last Tree's Sheffield screening where local creatives will have the chance to sit down with Shola to discuss his work, ask questions and get advice.
