Be smart with your UK release
Rachel Robey explains how to get the most out of your distribution strategy

Date: 26 Aug 2020
Time: 15:00
Location: Online

We find ourselves in turbulent times in the UK film industry. Although digital film production is becoming both cheaper and more accessible, creating impact around a film in a crowded market is more challenging than ever. Traditional methods of distribution have become less accessible to filmmakers, while globally-minded digital juggernauts are on the rise.

Join us from 3pm on Wednesday, 26 August as experienced film producer Rachel Robey examines how to pitch your movie at the right financial level in the context of changing audience behaviour and squeezed revenue projections. Should your budget be lower or higher? How should you approach comparable titles? Who exactly is your audience, and how will your film reach them? These are essential questions that every film producer should be asking themselves, and this session will run the numbers using case studies of recent UK indie titles and box office data.
