Film Hub North and BFI NETWORK have spent the past three months developing scripts with some of the North's strongest emerging writers - now we're sharing them with you. Join us for a rehearsed reading at the Royal Exchange Theatre on Friday, 18 October where fresh work from exciting filmmakers will be brought to life for the first time.

The Northern Exposure: Short Film Script Lab is a new talent development programme working with 10 writers to grow short film scripts from initial ideas into completed drafts. After a series of collaborative workshops, writes and rewrites, it's culminating in a rehearsed reading where the latest versions of our writers' work will be performed live with some help from local theatremakers.

After the evening's performances, there will be an informal opportunity to talk to the writers themselves and meet with colleagues from the local filmmaking community. We would love for you to join us in toasting the success of our Script Lab participants, so we're throwing in a complimentary drink with every ticket.
