Our Northern Exposure short film night is heading to Sheffield.
Join us at Showroom Cinema at 17:30 on Wednesday 12 July for an evening of short films and a preview of our new BFI Film Academy support programme for filmmakers aged 16-25.
We'll be showcasing work from a new generation of Northern filmmaking talent - including Em Humble's recent BFI Film Academy funded short, Chicken Girl - and will be joined by some of the featured filmmakers for a panel discussion. Plus you'll get to hear about our upcoming events and opportunities for young Northern creatives.
After the screening, we’ll gather in the café bar where you can meet the Film Hub North team and other local aspiring filmmakers.

BFI Film Academy offers opportunities for ambitious young people to get to know more about film and how to make a career in the screen industries. The programme is open to anyone aged 16-25 in the North of England. No previous film experience or training is required.
