Film Hub North Young Audiences Day Wednesday 1st November

We are delighted to invite you to the Film Hub North Young Audiences Day in Leeds during the opening day of the Leeds International Film Festival. There will be speakers and workshop sessions related to young audiences screening projects in the North.
The event will run from 1PM - 5PM and will be located at the Leeds Town Hall in the Albert Room. To register and for more information, click here using the password FAN2022 when prompted.

13:30 – 13:45: Intro with Dan Thomas
13:45 – 14:30: What are the benefits of engaging young people?
Debbie Maturi (Leeds Young Film), Bex Wolfendale (Into Film) and Kerry Turner (Signal Film and Media) will discuss their experience of engaging young audiences and young programmers.
14:30 – 15:00: What do young people want?
A panel of four Young Programmers including Gage Oxley (Leeds Young Film), Saffron Moore (Signal Film and Media), Alexandra Obsen (BFI Southbank) and Alex Goldsmith (Storyhouse).
15:00 – 15:15: Tea and Coffee Break
15:15 – 16:15: Reduced Ticket Pricing and how to market towards Young Audiences.
John Walker (Tyneside Cinema), Showroom Cinema (Joan Parsons) and Noel Goodwin (BFI Southbank) will talk about their experience of using a young audiences ticket price scheme.
16:15 – 17:00: Networking event with refreshments
17:45 – 21:00: Leeds International Film Festival Drinks Reception and Opening Night Film – The Square
