Curious Arts – Short Film Call Out
Screen your film at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Arts

Call out for shorts from LGBTQIA+ women and non-binary people of colour.

Curious Arts, the North’s champions of LGBTQIA+ arts, artists and audiences, are set to take over BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Arts throughout August 2021 to present BALTIC is Curious. We’re pleased to be partnering with Curious and BALTIC to present a programme of short film as part of the line-up, and now Curious are looking for work to screen.

Filmmakers from across the North, the UK and beyond are invited to submit their work by 5pm on Friday, 2 July. Films should explore LGBTQIA+ culture or themes, be made by or with women/non-binary people of colour, be no more than 15 minutes in length, and should come with accessible formats. For more information on the BALTIC is Curious event and how to submit your work, follow the link below.

Submit your film

Selected filmmakers will receive a fee, have their work screen at BALTIC and will be invited to take part in a Q&A session as part of the BALTIC is Curious season.

Submissions will be reviewed and shortlisted by a panel that includes representatives from Curious, BALTIC and Zena Igbe – the Writer-Director behind Film Hub North and BFI NETWORK funded short Sweet Mother.
