Archive Screening Day returns to BFI Southbank on Thursday, 5 December, and we're excited to feature in the line-up of workshops and presentations once again. Andy Robson, Screen Heritage Producer at Film Hub North, will lead a session covering the latest news from our UK-wide work supporting ambitious archive film events.

We'll be sharing successes from our current funding programme, Shifting Ground: an exploration of our changing relationship with the environment informed by the stories preserved by our public film archives. Topics covered will include an innovative pilot project that sees a group of young programmers mentored by the East Anglian Film Archive and a theatrical venue to produce a short package of archive material responding to the theme of environmental transformation. We'll also be revealing early details of funding opportunities in 2020, and Andy will be available to discuss any projects delegates are working on.

Other events in a packed line-up include a lecture from celebrated academic Richard Dyer on Race in the Hollywood Musical and a newly restored presentation of Perry Henzell's (The Harder They Come) long-lost second feature, No Place Like Home.
