Film Hub North is excited to announce a suite of activities aimed at supporting the animation community in the region. Designed in consultation with industry and leading practitioners in the space, Animation Day looks to improve people’s understanding, connections and knowledge in the animation sector.
The programme kicks off with an Animation Mixer from 7-8:30pm on Thursday, 27 January where we will announce our full plans for the Animation Day in March. Whether you’re an animator, producer, writer, director or just mildly interested, we welcome creators from across the north working in whatever style of animation to join us as we share all the details of the programme.

Alongside the animation day of networking, discussions and masterclasses we'll also have an opportunity for a cohort of producers developing their knowledge of producing for animation. We’re also opening this to anyone who’s never worked in animation before but is looking to explore working in the space so come along to the mixer and find out more!
How does the mixer work?
Mixer events are free to attend. All that's required is a reliable internet connection and access to a device that supports video conferencing.
At our online Mixers, we recreate the sociable spirit of our in-person events by using Zoom breakout rooms to mix small groups of creatives together, and rotating the groups throughout the evening. Join the room from 7pm - we'll split attendees into groups and get things started from there.
